Mike House founded House Properties in 1989, a private real estate investment company established to acquire, reposition, and develop commercial, residential, retail, hotels, Self-Storage and industrial real estate. Mike formulates the company’s investment strategies, and oversees the acquisition, development, operations, and disposition of each investment. Throughout his career, Mike has completed real estate transactions in excess of $500 million.

Mike is also the founder of and managing partner of Wayfare Tavern. With a menu inspired by partner executive chef and Food Network star Tyler Florence, the Wayfare has received rave reviews and tops many lists as having the best Fried Chicken in San Francisco.

Prior to starting House Properties, Mike completed Union Bank’s Uniform Credit Training Program, where he specialized in Commercial Real Estate Lending. Mike earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Santa Clara University in 1987 and graduated from the University of Southern California in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Real Estate Finance. Mike is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker, a member of The Urban Land Institute, a member of the Executive Committee of USC’s Lusk Center for Real Estate. Mike is a current board member of University High School in San Francisco and is a former board member for The Hamlin School for girls.

Mike is currently a certified CYSA and YMCA coach and has coached over 30 youth teams in San Francisco and Marin County. Mike is also a current member of Battery Club.

Evan Lillevand is the Founder and Principal of SilverCreek Partners, LLC, a private real estate investment firm established to acquire, manage and reposition commercial and residential properties.  Evan has eleven years of experience in various aspects of commercial and residential real estate, including acquisition, management, financing and disposition.  His experience includes transactions involving single-family residential, multi-family residential, residential land, office, retail, hotel, mixed-use and industrial properties.

For the past six years, Evan has been working with House Properties and its related entities.  Evan earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Santa Clara University in 1995.

Frank Gerber has partnered with Mike House over the past seven years in a variety of real estate assets including hotels, office, commercial and, most recently, distressed residential. Frank is the managing partner of Blueshift Partners, a private equity partnership focusing on consumer and technology investments. He is currently the Chairman of the Board at Digital Innovations and also sits on the board of Just Desserts and Bath Simple.

Prior to Blueshift Partners, Frank was a business valuation consultant performing valuations for ESOP transactions; restricted stock appraisals; gift tax appraisals; estate tax appraisals; family limited partnership valuations; company recapitalizations; dissenting shareholder valuations; bankruptcy valuations; business, stock, and stock option valuations; litigation support services, and appraisals for regulatory compliance (primarily related to SEC and IRS review). Frank holds an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago and a BA in literature and communications from Hope College.

Over the past 18 years, he has completed real estate property transactions in excess of $250 million including: Shopping Centers, Office Buildings, Hotels, Land Development, Industrial Buildings, Storage Facilities, Multi-Family Buildings, and Raw Land. Mr. House has developed extensive real estate experience in a wide range of areas including: Joint Ventures, Hybrid Syndication, Asset Management, Commercial Real Estate Lending, Land Entitlement and Re-Zoning, Development, Investment Brokerages, Mortgage Banking, Accounting, and Appraisal.

Prior to starting House Properties, Mr. House was an Associate in Laventhol & Horwath, an accounting and business consulting firm. He was part of the Leisure Time Industries Department specializing in mixed-use commercial developments, conference centers, hotel development/appraisal/feasibility/viability studies, strategic planning, and fiscal and economic impact analysis. Mr. House has worked with, and on behalf of, various hotel companies, government agencies, banking institutions and foreign and domestic hotel investors

Mr. House earned his Masters in Business Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of California, Davis. He is currently a licensed General B Contractor and Vice President of the Northern California Golf Association. He is a past Board of Director of the Palma Development Foundation, Corral de Tierra Country Club, NCGA Foundation and Boys and Girls Club.

Herbert Grosser has 15 years of experience in property management, leasing, customer service and supervision. Throughout this time, his responsibilities have included the management of over 30 multifamily residential properties (over 1400 units) and approximately 30 commercial properties and the direction of about 40 employees throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

He has created and implemented annual budgets, issued quarterly reports, handled operational and administrative issues, inspected properties regularly and collaborated with colleagues, vendors and tenants on a daily basis.

His comprehensive computer skills include proficiency of various office and property management applications. He also holds a California Certified Residential Manager (CCRM) Certification from the California Apartment Association (CAA) and has full knowledge of Fair Housing, Employment and Landlord & Tenant laws.

Marcie Stephens joined House Properties in 2016 as a Bookkeeper and Financial Analyst. Prior to joining House Properties, she worked for 8 years as the Bookkeeper for Mill Valley Soccer Club, a non-profit organization. Her experience includes financial reporting on various accounts, payroll, accounts receivable/payable, monthly bank reconciliations, budget and fiscal year review. Marcie also had her own organizing business for several years, working in both homes and offices.

Marcie attended Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She lives in Mill Valley with her husband and two sons.

Kristen House has been leading Finance and Investor Relations for House Properties for the past 14 years. She is responsible for investor correspondence and oversees production of investor presentations. From 2002-2010, Kristen was HP’s Bookkeeper for all of the company’s real estate entities. Kristen now oversees the bookkeeping for all investments and actively does the accounting for the company’s operating accounts.

In 2010 Kristen founded and opened ToyHouse Mill Valley, a 1,500 square foot specialty toy and gift store in Mill Valley, CA. She does all the buying, bookkeeping, payroll, marketing, and investor correspondence for the store and manages seven employees. Prior to opening ToyHouse and working for HP, Kristen earned her Masters in Business Administration from The Darden School at the University of Virginia in 1998 and graduated from Colby College in 1992 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics. Prior to Darden, Kristen was an Analyst for an economic consulting firm where she specialized in environmental impact and health care studies.
